Israel’s war on Gaza live: Israeli attacks kill 40 in one day

  • Gaza’s Health Ministry says 40 Palestinians were killed and 58 wounded in the latest 24-hour reporting period.

  • At least seven people were killed and many wounded in Israeli bombing of the Kafr Qasim School in the Shati refugee camp housing hundreds of displaced people.

  • Israel’s military launched 400 attacks on Lebanon on Saturday and Hezbollah fired rockets at the Ramat David airbase near the city of Haifa, in their largest exchange of fire since the war on Gaza began.

  • Heavily armed and masked Israeli troops raided Al Jazeera’s bureau in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank and imposed a 45-day closure in their latest push to curtail the network’s news coverage.

  • At least 41,431 people have been killed and 95,818 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza. In Israel, the number of those killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 was at least 1,139 while more than 200 people were taken captive.
